Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead field geomatics operations on the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Georgia. You will manage and train Geomatics Operators, oversee data collection and analysis, and ensure precision and safety on site.

Responsibilities include providing precise control lines, performing layouts, verifying as-built conditions, and collaborating with engineers and project managers to align outputs with construction requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of surveying and land mapping on construction sites.
• LSIT certification strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven ability to train and direct field personnel on active construction projects.
• Familiarity with topographic and cross-section survey methods.
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and data collectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide precise work control lines and elevations for accurate measurements and correct material installation by field crews.
• Perform layout assignments following directives from the Survey Manager and adapt methods to field conditions.
• Support evaluation of dimensional variances and resolve field-related issues affecting progress or design intent.
• Verify and document as-built conditions for project records.
• Conduct topographic and cross-section surveys to support planning, progress tracking, and quantity measurement.
