Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Survey Crew Chief based in our Greensboro, NC office. The role involves managing field crews across boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction layout projects, using GPS surveying and Trimble equipment.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years in land surveying, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel. A degree in surveying or related field is preferred, with SIT/PLS registration a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GPS surveying including static, fast static, RTK and VRS.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers and robotic total stations.
• Willingness to travel out of town on assignments.
• Associate degree or higher in surveying tech or related field; SIT/PLS preferred.
• 4+ years of land surveying experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and organize a field crew on diverse surveying projects.
• Computer skills include daily file submittals, data download and field sketches.

Responsibilities

• Lead a field crew for conventional, robotic and GPS surveying projects.
• Prepare field sketches, digital photos, and daily checklists and timesheets.
• Coordinate vehicles, data transfer, and project navigation tasks.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of survey data submissions.
