Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field surveys in Dallas, TX. The role requires conventional and GPS surveying experience and oversight of field data collection and communication with the survey coordinator.

Primary duties include operating Trimble equipment, performing staking and topographic work, and coordinating with engineers and clients while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely delivery of results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years surveying experience.
• FAA Part 107 license or ability to obtain.
• Experience with Trimble GPS/Access and PLSS knowledge.
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute land surveys to establish legal boundaries.
• Operate and maintain cutting-edge survey hardware and software; interpret data.
• Use GPS, total stations and levels to determine coordinates and features.
• Prepare and maintain data, charts, plots, records, legal descriptions and reports.
• Lead survey crew with safety, cost control, efficiency and professionalism.
• Collaborate with engineering and architectural staff, clients and others to review findings.
