Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking a licensed Project Surveyor to support our surveying operations in Michigan. The role includes leading site and highway construction layout, DOT design surveys, control surveys, and ALTA/topographic surveys, with emphasis on accuracy and client communication.

The candidate will manage projects, provide mentorship, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across a diverse range of surveying tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying or related field.
• Licensed professional surveyor or ability to become licensed per licensing guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Civil3D, and MicroStation.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
• Ability to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage medium-to-large projects including proposals, budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Prepare project proposals and oversee execution to meet deadlines.
• Present and participate in educational or client-related functions for ongoing business.
• Coordinate with team members, clients, contractors, and outside consultants.
• Ensure quality control of all work products and safety compliance.
