Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking a Lead Surgical Technologist for PRN assignments. In this role you’ll lead the operating room team, coordinate surgical prep, scrub in for complex cases, and help ensure safe, sterile technique across cardiac and other procedures.

You’ll mentor colleagues, uphold infection prevention standards, and support on-call and emergency coverage, contributing to exceptional patient care and your own professional growth within a large, national healthcare system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment and instruments.
• Scrub in and support surgeons through complex procedures.
• Mentor and train other surgical technologists in best practices.
• Oversee counts, specimens handling, and infection prevention standards.
