Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support OR operations, ensuring sterile technique, patient safety, and accurate handling of specimens. You will coordinate instrument sets, supplies, and equipment for diverse procedures, collaborating with surgeons and OR staff daily.

The role requires completion of a recognized Surgical Technology program, CST certification, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Technical/Vocational School training.
• Successful completion of accredited Surgical Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates surgery schedules for physicians' operating rooms, including times, procedure names, and consents.
• Ensures sterility of all items in the sterile field to prevent surgical infection.
• Ensures patient safety within the operative environment.
• Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical cases using physician preference lists and knowledge of procedures.
