Qualifications

• Completion of Accredited Surgical Technology Program or LPN Diploma with 2 years surgical tech experience
• Military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience
• Surgical Tech Certification NBSTSA or NCCT required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Acts as shift lead and assists management with daily department operations
• Performs perioperative technical support under RN supervision to maintain sterile field
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens and other materials
• Assists with inventory of sterile supplies and may assist in patient transport
