Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, Colorado is seeking a Surgical Technologist to facilitate all aspects of team readiness for surgical procedures, including room setup, instrumentation, equipment and supplies. You will work with pre-op nurses and anesthesia to ensure patient readiness and maintain efficient OR turnover.

You will oversee Doctor Preference Cards, assist with budgeting, and collaborate with leadership on staffing, performance improvement, and education of new personnel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical experience in the surgical setting.
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership/management role.
• Experience with performance improvement frameworks and methodologies.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• LPN/CST/NBSTSA CST or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms: setup, instrumentation, equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with pre-op nurses and anesthesia to ensure patient readiness.
• Manage OR turnover times and direct ancillary staff.
• Monitor first-case start times and adjust throughput as needed.
• Communicate with physicians and PACU leadership on space and scheduling.
• Manage Doctor Preference Cards and assist with specialty budgeting.
• Lead orientation and training for new personnel and participate in hiring discussions.
