Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will anticipate needs, assemble instruments, and maintain sterile technique to ensure smooth turnover and patient safety throughout procedures.

The role requires prior surgical tech experience, BLS certification, and a commitment to high standards of care. Part-time daytime shifts support a faith-based health ministry in the community.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required].
• Associate degree preferred.
• Technical/Vocational School preferred.
• Field of Study: Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and informs the circulating nurse.
• Maintains high standards to support cost savings and containment.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports satisfaction activities and maintains relationships with staff and physicians.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects any breaks in protocol.
• Reports environmental concerns and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Supervises team members and assists with orientation and training.
• Promotes a safe environment and responds to emergencies.
• Follows infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and quality standards.
