  • Scrub in and support surgeons during complex cardiac surgeries, maintaining sterile environment.
  • Mentor and supervise surgical technologists; train new team members and reinforce best practices.
  • Oversee quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring infection prevention standards.
  • Drive teamwork and efficiency through effective communication and support for on-call and emergency cases.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading surgical preparation by organizing suites, equipment, and instruments to ensure readiness for every procedure
  • Scrubbing in and supporting surgeons through complex cardiac surgeries, anticipating needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment
  • Guiding and mentoring surgical technologists, serving as a role model while training new team members and reinforcing best practices
  • Overseeing quality and safety by managing counts, handling specimens, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention standards
  • Driving teamwork and efficiency through effective communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on‑call and emergency cases
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • 1+ years experience preferred
