Job summary

Integra in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead Supplier Quality Specialist to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards for data center infrastructure. You will perform supplier quality inspections at supplier facilities and coordinate weld and NDT activities per project specs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 3–5 years of quality inspection experience, and certification in welding inspection (CWI) with ASNT NDT Level II preferred.

• 3–5 years in quality inspection or supplier quality.
• AWS CWI certification required; ASNT NDT Level II preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review supplier quality documentation (MTRs, certificates, FAT, NDT reports).
• Follow up with suppliers on corrective actions and timeliness.

• Review WPS, PQR and welder qualifications for applicable products.
• Develop and maintain supplier inspection plans and quality requirements.
• Provide feedback to suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain inspection reports and NCRs in the quality system.
• Support inspection and testing of MV/LV switchgear and related equipment.

The Opportunity

The Lead Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with working drawings, specifications, processes, standards and best practices.

What you will do?

• Observe and document in-process and finished product at various stages of production to identify defects or issues.
• Conduct audits or inspections to identify non-conformance and report findings to supervisor. Perform supplier quality inspections at supplier facilities, including in-process, final, and pre-shipment inspections
• Review supplier quality documentation including MTRs, certificates of conformance, inspection reports, FAT reports, hydrostatic test reports, NDT reports, weld documentation, and other required quality records.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and on time.
• Perform or coordinate weld inspections and NDT activities as required by project specifications and supplier quality plans.
• Review WPS, PQR, welder qualifications, NDT reports, and weld inspection records for applicable products
• Assist with developing and maintaining supplier inspection plans, checklists, and quality requirements
• Provide feedback to suppliers regarding recurring quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, supplier visit reports, NCRs, and quality records in the company’s quality system.
• Support inspection and testing of MV/LV switchgear, switchboards, UPS system including verification of busbar configuration, insulation, connections, breakers, CTs/PTs, protective devices, control wiring, interlocks, grounding, nameplates, and applicable electrical test results.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment.
• Address issues to ensure quality standards are upheld.
• Assist with training of team members on quality processes.
• Make recommendations for improving production process techniques to ensure high-quality output.
• Build a positive rapport with employees at all levels of the organization; communicate with team members to solve problems.
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its core values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in related field; equivalent experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 3–5 years of quality inspection, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, welding inspection, or related experience
• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• ASNT NDT Level II certification in one or more applicable methods, such as VT, PT, MT, or UT.
• Experience with AWS D1.1, ASME, API, CSA, ASTM, or other applicable industry standards.
• Experience in data center, electrical equipment, structural fabrication, pressure equipment, mechanical equipment, or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience using ERP/QMS systems for NCR, inspection, and supplier-quality records.
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
• Lead by example to include strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, can do attitude, great attendance, and excellent quality & safety awareness.
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Commitment to the concept of continual improvement, effective quality management systems and safe work practices.
• Understanding the production and work order process.
• May require travel up to 50%.
• Ability to work flexible hours and support inspections outside normal business hours when necessary
• Physical fitness and strength to regularly lift 30-50 lbs.
• Regularly required to stand, bend, crouch and reach.
