This role will drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards; own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Also has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Travel rate of 50% will be required for first 6 months - 1 year in role. Travel from 25% to 50% required, thereafter.

Open to a remote opportunity in IA, IL, MN, & WI. Will be working onsite at the supplier's location in Minneapolis, MN.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensures suppliers meet Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development guidelines, including qualifications, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  • Functions with some autonomy, following functional practices and precedents, and modifies procedures as needed.
  • Leads supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, and performance monitoring.
  • Tracks metrics & works on quality improvement plans.
  • Reviews and approves quality plans, investigates quality escapes, and ensures corrective actions.
  • Mentors suppliers in quality tools and requirements.
  • Ensures compliance and drives improvement plans.
  • Reviews documentation and witnesses supplier practices.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of quality and related disciplines.
  • Uses judgment and proposes solutions for day-to-day problems.
  • Prioritizes data analysis and makes decisions using technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Travel requirement: 50% for initial 6 months to 1 year, then 25-50% thereafter.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related fields, or GE Leadership Program Graduate.

  • Experience in investment casting or sand-casting processes.

GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits covering health, wellbeing, retirement, and other perks. The salary range is $100,000 - $110,000, with potential bonuses. The position is eligible for remote work and will close on May 30, 2025. Final offers depend on U.S. export control authorization, and employment is contingent upon background checks and drug screening.
