Job Title: Automation QA Engineer (Selenium, Java, SQL, MySQL)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of SQL and MySQL for database validation, along with extensive experience in automating functional and regression tests for web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into test automation scripts.
• Perform end-to-end testing of web applications, including UI, functional, and regression testing.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and ensure correct behavior of database systems (primarily MySQL).
• Integrate automation test scripts into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Identify, report, and track software defects and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
• Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, providing detailed defect reports.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable test scripts.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest testing tools, trends, and industry best practices to improve test efficiency.
• Communicate test results and progress to stakeholders and project teams.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in Automation QA with a strong focus on Selenium and Java.
• Strong experience writing Selenium WebDriver test scripts and maintaining automated test frameworks in Java.
• Solid experience working with SQL and MySQL, including writing complex queries to validate and manipulate data.
• Hands-on experience in test automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
• Familiarity with Java build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to report findings effectively.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments is a plus.
