Job summary

Mind Robotics Inc. is building a supplier industrialization function from scratch. You will own PCBAs, electronics assemblies, and tactile sensing components, from supplier selection through process development, qualification, launch, and ramp.

You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams to drive DFM/DFA/DFT reviews, influence component choices, and ensure readiness for volume production across EVT/DVT/PVT stages.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in supplier industrialization, supplier quality, NPI, or manufacturing engineering in hardware-intensive industries
• Experience with IPC standards and PCB fabrication processes; sensor integration a plus
• Hands-on in prototype-to-production transitions: EVT/DVT/PVT, tooling, run-at-rate and ramp
• Ability to read schematics/layouts/drawings and engage with engineers in design reviews
• Experience auditing and developing suppliers including CMs/CEMs worldwide
• Comfort operating as architect and operator, setting up systems and debugging PCBA failures
• Experience in humanoid/mobile robotics or high-complexity electromechanical systems a plus
• Six Sigma / Lean certification or equivalent a plus
• Experience hiring and leading SIE or SQE functions a plus

Responsibilities

• Build the supplier industrialization function from the ground up with playbooks, PPAP/qualification, and readiness criteria
• Own end-to-end industrialization for PCBAs, electronics assemblies, and tactile sensing components
• Drive DFM/ DFA/ DFT reviews and influence component selection early in design
• Lead supplier audits of manufacturing capability, quality systems, and capacity
• Travel to supplier sites to develop processes, validate lines, and verify readiness
• Lead new product introduction at supplier sites: process development, validation, test, and ramp
• Develop and execute supply chain readiness to scale electronics to hundreds/thousands of units
• Establish supplier quality management with incoming criteria, SPC, 8D/RCCA
• Collaborate with sourcing on supplier strategy, should-cost, and risk mitigation
• Define hiring needs for SI team and build scalable documentation
