Job summary

HOODZ of Grand Rapids, West Michigan & Lansing is seeking a Lead Supervisor for the Grand Rapids area. The role involves supervising a crew and ensuring quality on 3rd shift (8pm–6am, Sun–Thu with possible variation).

Competitive hourly wages based on experience and a one-time signing bonus accompany extensive initial training. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, reliable, and able to pass a background check with a valid driver’s license and transportation.

Qualifications

• Background in plumbing, mechanics, repair, HVAC or kitchen management is a plus.
• Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Power washing and cleaning of commercial restaurant kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, ducts, filters and fans.
• Leading / supervising an on the job crew.
• Accountable for ensuring quality work is done for each job.
• Management of the assigned truck to ensure it's kept clean and organized.
• Set up and take down of all job sites and equipment.
• Independent completion of work projects without supervision.
• Maintain equipment, reporting any mechanical deficiencies.
• Completion of all administrative duties.

HOODZ of Grand Rapids, West Michigan & Lansing is looking for quality Lead Supervisor located in the Grand Rapids area.

Competitive hourly wages based on experience to include a one-time signing bonus. Extensive initial training before assumption of Supervisor duties.

Hours are primarily 3rd Shift (start and end times range from 8pm to 6am) Sunday to Thursday, but schedule could vary.

Job Duties Include

• Power washing and cleaning of commercial restaurant kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, ducts, filters and fans
• Leading / supervising an on the job crew
• Accountable for ensuring quality work is done for each job
• Management of the assigned truck to ensure it's kept clean and organized
• The set up and take down of all job sites and equipment including wiping down of hoods, setting up wet/dry vacuums, high pressure hoses, pre-sprayers, ladders, hanging plastic sheeting, etc
• Independent completion of work projects without supervision
• Maintain equipment, reporting any mechanical deficiencies
• Completion of all administrative duties

Skills / Requirements

• No prior kitchen exhaust cleaning experience is required, however a background in plumbing, mechanics, repair, HVAC or kitchen management is a plus.
• Training will be provided.

• Mechanically inclined and dedicated to learning our system and process
• Dedicated to outstanding customer service
• Physically able to climb on roofs and ladders and do some lifting
• Able to pass drug test, background check, and have appropriate documentation
• Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, cell phone and good references
• Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and understand safety plans and procedures
• Able to work in both hot and cold weather
• Have excellent attention to detail and work fast and efficiently
• Bi-lingual (Spanish / English) is a plus but not required
