Job summary

MPI in Nashville is seeking a Superintendent to lead day‑to‑day field operations on multifamily construction projects, from mobilization to turnover. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage safety programs, monitor schedule, and ensure quality and compliance with codes.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, proven field-ops experience, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience managing field operations for ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, podium, wrap, or garden-style residential construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control in a multifamily environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve field issues quickly while maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day field operations for multifamily construction projects from site mobilization through final turnover and occupancy.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, manpower, and sequencing to maintain schedule milestones and proactively address delays or field challenges.
  • Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards, project specifications, building codes, and company expectations.
  • Enforce jobsite safety programs and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct inspections, manage punch list activities, and oversee unit turnover to ensure timely project completion and owner satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, ownership groups, and municipal inspectors to resolve issues and maintain project alignment.
