Job summary

Uprite Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the field execution of a large commercial kitchen and food production facility in Los Angeles. The role requires a strong mechanical background in refrigeration, walk-in coolers, freezers, and related equipment, with travel to future projects as needed.

You will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate with the Project Manager, lead subcontractor meetings, and ensure safety and quality as well as on-time project

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong experience managing commercial kitchen construction projects.
• Experience coordinating walk in coolers, freezers, and food production equipment.
• Experience with restaurant construction preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day to day field operations from mobilization through project completion.
• Manage project schedules and coordinate all field activities with the Project Manager.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain three week look ahead schedules.
• Coordinate installation of commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, coolers, freezers, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Manage mechanical trades to ensure proper sequencing and coordination with architectural and structural work.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and field changes.
• Coordinate inspections, equipment deliveries, startup activities, and commissioning.
• Maintain quality standards while ensuring all work complies with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Drive project closeout, punch list completion, and owner turnover.
