Job summary

Straticon in Florida is seeking a Lead Superintendent to own field operations on construction projects from planning through closeout. You will lead Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Engineers, ensuring schedule, safety, and quality are uncompromising.

The role requires 15+ years of general contracting experience, a Construction Management degree preferred, OSHA 30, and strong leadership and communication. Travel between job sites is required on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of verifiable field construction experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred, or demonstrated equivalent skill and ability.
• OSHA 30 Training and Certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction plans, specs, contracts, RFIs, and submittals.
• Knowledge of construction codes, estimating, and scheduling practices.
• Strong delegation, managerial, and problem-solving skills.
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CMIC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master project schedules and look-ahead schedules.
• Oversee day-to-day field management to meet milestones, budget, and quality.
• Implement site safety plans and OSHA/EPA-compliant practices.
• Generate daily reports, RFIs, as-built documentation, and closeout.
• Coach, mentor, and train Superintendents and Field Engineers.

Lead Straticon's jobsites from ground-breaking to closeout — safely, on schedule, and built right.

Straticon is seeking a Lead Superintendent to take full ownership of field operations on our construction projects, from planning through closeout.

You will report to the General Superintendent or Director of Field Supervision and oversee Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Engineers on site. This role is a strong fit for someone who leads by example, thrives under pressure, and holds every detail — schedule, safety, and quality — to an uncompromising standard.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Master project schedule development and weekly look-ahead schedules for subcontractors and vendors.
• Day-to-day field management of subcontractors to meet milestone, budget, and quality goals.
• Site-specific safety plans and OSHA/EPA-compliant safety practices across the project.
• Daily reports, RFI tracking, as-built documentation, and the project closeout process.
• Coaching, mentoring, and training of Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Engineers.
• Coordination with the Project Manager on procurement, cost tracking, and change orders.
• Progress meetings with owners, subcontractors, and design teams.
• Document control, ensuring the most current contract documents are always in use.
• Quality workmanship standards enforced across all subcontractors.

HOW THE ROLE FITS OUR TEAM

The Lead Superintendent reports to the General Superintendent or Director of Field Supervision and leads Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Engineers on site. This role sits at the center of the project — working hand-in-hand with the Project Manager as a peer, not a subordinate, and serving as the primary point of accountability for schedule, safety, and quality in the field.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Comprehensive knowledge of construction plans, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, and submittals.
• Knowledge of construction building codes, estimating, and scheduling practices.
• Strong delegation, managerial, and problem-solving skills.
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to learn CMIC and other project management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
