WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Sr. Substation Protection & Control Engineer to join our East Energy team in the Binghamton, NY area, with Horseheads, NY as a key location.

The role offers options across the Northeast. You will lead protection design for capital projects, review relay settings, coordinate area protection, and provide implementation support while mentoring junior engineers. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and EIT

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering, power systems protection and control.
• EIT Certification.
• IEC 61850/GOOSE experience required.
• Ideal candidate with consulting firm experience.
• Proficient with various engineering design tools and software.
• Effective self-leadership with attention to detail and multitasking.

Responsabilidades

• Lead overall protection design for capital projects and define relay protection functionality per Client standards.
• Review contractor relay settings, logic diagrams, and HMI screens for capital projects.
• Review/provide input to area relay coordination and project-driven changes.
• Provide design support during implementation, testing and commissioning.
• Ensure QA/QC and maintain as-built documentation.
• Mentor junior team members and share technical guidance.
