WHY VEIR?

VEIR is developing a new generation of High Temperature Superconductor (HTS)-based transmission lines, enabling long distance, reliable, low loss, cost–effective power transfer in far smaller right–of–ways. VEIR’s innovations overcome the main barriers to transmission expansion, enabling the world to access the very lowest cost renewable power.
The Team
VEIR is seeking a Lead Transmission Planning/Protection Engineer to join our Product Team. We’re looking for someone who is excited to work on innovative new hardware technologies and communicate their value and applications to all levels both internally and externally to establish business relationships, market strategies, and collaborative partnerships.
The Product Team is responsible for overseeing the requirements, development and lifecycle of VEIR’s superconducting product. Through close collaboration with the commercial and engineering groups, the Product Team ensures that the products developed meet the customers’ needs and align with VEIR’s business goals. The Team determines which product features are most valuable and impactful by evaluating factors such as the voice of the customer, market trends, technical feasibility and addressable segment size.
