Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a power engineering consultant firm serving utilities and industry across the United States.

We are seeking a Project Engineer in Gahanna, OH to lead the design and delivery of substation projects, coordinate with clients, and mentor design staff. The role requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of project and design experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage fast-paced schedules.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years in project and design engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organization and planning.
• PE license preferred; ability to oversee design staff and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed designs for substations and upgrades.
• Coordinate client and stakeholder communications; mentor and lead design staff; ensure project quality and schedule.
• Oversee and direct staff across disciplines (civil, electrical, SCADA, protection, equipment specs).
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and energization phases.
