Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Pre-Commissioning Area Engineer to coordinate testing and commissioning of electrical distribution and transmission substations for utility clients. You will supervise startup personnel and coordinate with contractor electricians and engineering staff.
The role requires field engineering, plan development, and hands-on functional testing with emphasis on safety and quality.
Competenze
- BS or 2-year degree in electrical engineering is a plus with relay experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical equipment testing and inspection, including HV.
- Experience in testing, commissioning and maintenance of power equipment.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Experience in working in utility transmission substation is required.
Mansioni
- Perform substation field engineering, including work plan prep and project testing functions.
- Review, revise, and develop isolation/restoration work plans and functional tests.
- Direct troubleshooting efforts to resolve test deficiencies.
- Markup field change drawings and close project packages within 30 days of in-service date.
- Provide on-site support to design, construction and transmission managers.
- Offer technical guidance on complex problems maintaining customer design standards.
