E·PRO Engineering, LLC seeks a Senior Substation Engineer to lead design, planning, and delivery of substations up to 345 kV for utility, renewable energy, and industrial clients across the United States. The role provides technical leadership on projects from distribution upgrades to transmission substations and ensures safe, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of substation engineering and design experience.
• Experience with air-insulated substations up to 345 kV.
• Knowledge of substation layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control buildings, and AC/DC systems.
• Familiarity with NESC, IEEE, ANSI standards.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation concepts, project scopes, execution plans, and cost estimates.
• Prepare physical design and construction packages for air-insulated substations up to 345 kV.
• Design substation layouts, grounding and lightning protection systems, control buildings, raceways, AC/DC auxiliary systems, and site plans.
• Perform engineering calculations and studies related to grounding, load analysis, equipment selection, and system performance.
• Prepare material lists, equipment specifications, and support procurement activities.
• Review engineering deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Serve as Lead Engineer or Project Engineer on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, protection and controls, transmission, telecommunications, and other engineering teams.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans while monitoring project performance.
• Lead meetings with clients, contractors, utilities, and internal stakeholders.
