Job summary

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks a Project Engineer to lead design studies for new, upgraded, and expanded substations, coordinating with discipline groups and clients across the U.S.

The role covers material procurement, construction support, and commissioning through energization, with opportunities to mentor staff. Minimum requirements include a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, 6+ years of project/design experience, strong communication, and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of project and design engineering experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork; ability to meet fast-paced project schedules.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of substations and upgrades.
• Coordinate with discipline groups and client stakeholders; manage design staff.
• Provide material procurement, construction and commissioning/startup support through energization.
• Oversee design engineers, drafters and support staff; ensure project quality and timely delivery.
• Occasional travel may be required.
