Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking qualified personnel to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) IV&V of Fly-By-Wire Ship Control Systems for US Navy submarines. The role requires reviewing specifications, documents, drawings and plans, and witnessing testing at land-based facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.
• Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
• Experience with U.S. Navy submarine systems.
• 0–2 years of experience in US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems.
• Experience in computer programming.

Responsibilities

• Support IV&V of FBW Ship Control Systems for US Navy submarines.
• Review engineering specs, drawings, and plans.
• Review test procedures for system, software, and hardware.
• Witness qualification and acceptance testing at land-based facilities.
• Validate requirements and audit software units.
