Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a study pathologist or peer reviewer to diagnose disease/toxicity and guide tissue evaluations in preclinical toxicology studies. The role includes necropsy supervision, staff mentorship, and generating comprehensive narratives for study reports.

Candidates should have a D.V.M. or Ph.D. and at least 5 years in toxicologic pathology within a GLP environment, with Diplomats of ACVP/JCVP/ECVP or RCP preferred. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• D.V.M. (or Ph.D.) is required or equivalent and at least 5 years of toxicologic pathology experience in a GLP environment.
• Diplomate of ACVP/JCVP/ECVP or RCP is preferred.
• Proficiency with pathology data management and MS Office tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations and interpretation.
• Supervise necropsies and gross pathology interpretation.
• Provide leadership, training and guidance to laboratory staff.
• Write comprehensive pathology narratives and integrate findings into study reports.
• Engage with sponsors and study directors to ensure accurate data in reports.
• Stay current with toxicologic pathology developments and techniques.
