Job summary
Equinox is seeking Main Studio Instructors in San Francisco to lead diverse fitness classes, including strength, cardio, dance, sculpt, boxing and martial arts. You will deliver the Equinox Experience, adapt intensity for participants, and ensure classes run on schedule.
The ideal candidate holds a current Group Fitness Certification (ACE/AFAA/NASM/ACSM) or a related degree, CPR/AED, and a proactive, friendly demeanor with strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Current Group Fitness Certification or related degree required.
- Experience teaching Group Fitness classes in related discipline.
- CPR/AED certification required.
- Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology and ACSM guidelines.
- Willingness to learn and professional development.
- Friendly, vibrant, and outgoing personality.
- Must have regular email/phone access.
- Pay: $60-$80 per class or $19.61/hr for non-class work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Equinox Experience to members in each class.
- Adhere to class description and adjust intensity as needed.
- Monitor exercise intensity throughout class duration.
- Ensure class starts and ends on time.
- Teach classes regularly and minimize substitutions.
- Communicate with Group Fitness Manager on feedback, equipment, scheduling, and subs.
