ServicePoint IT is seeking an experienced Lead Technician in Irvine, CA for overseeing CAT5/CAT6 cabling installations in large commercial environments. You will supervise field teams, ensure project quality, and serve as the on-site contact, with 100% travel across the U.S.

The role requires leadership in structured cabling, network infrastructure, and safety compliance, with opportunities for growth and professional certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in structured cabling installation (CAT5, CAT6) in commercial environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of field technicians.
• Expertise in cable termination, testing, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Proficiency with Fluke testers and other network testing tools.
• Willingness to travel nationwide (100% travel).

Responsibilities

• Lead structured cabling installation projects meeting industry standards.
• Install, terminate, and test CAT5/6 cabling with QA checks.
• Train field technicians and enforce safety protocols.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to meet timelines.
• Review blueprints/specs; perform site assessments and planning.
• Maintain on-site documentation and ensure OSHA compliance.
