Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with data acquisition, test instrumentation, data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications, drawings, test standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain structural testing capabilities, equipment, instrumentation, and procedures.
• Lead the technical execution of structural testing programs from planning to reporting.
• Develop safe, reliable test setups with appropriate methods, fixturing, and data acquisition.
• Maintain laboratory equipment through calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades.
• Evaluate customer specs to determine testing approaches.
• Collaborate with customers, engineers, technicians, suppliers for successful projects.
• Provide mentoring and training to laboratory staff.
• Identify improvements to safety, quality, repeatability, data integrity and testing capabilities.
