Job summary

Lerch Bates seeks a Structural Restoration Engineer to evaluate and develop repair solutions for existing buildings and structures. You’ll investigate deterioration, façade distress, waterproofing failures, parking structure deficiencies, and other building performance concerns across a diverse portfolio.

You’ll manage projects from assessment through construction administration, serving as a trusted technical advisor to owners, architects, contractors, and stakeholders while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with PE license.
• Minimum 5 years in structural restoration or related fields.
• Experience conducting building condition assessments and repair design.
• Strong understanding of structural systems and building behavior.

Responsibilities

• Conduct condition assessments of existing buildings and structures.
• Investigate deterioration, water intrusion, and material failures.
• Develop repair strategies and restoration designs for preservation of structures.
• Prepare technical reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships.
• Provide mentorship and lead junior engineers on projects.
