Job summary

RW Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks a Structural Project Manager to lead structural design on multiple projects in our West Sacramento office.

You will direct engineers, serve as the client liaison, and drive projects from submittal through approval with autonomy and support from an experienced team. The role requires senior-level structural engineering experience, California PE, and strong collaboration with principals on proposals, schedules, and staffing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering required.
• California PE license required.
• 5–10 years of structural engineering experience in building design with project leadership.
• SE license preferred or actively pursued.
• Experience with DSA or HCAI projects preferred.
• Design experience across wood, steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, RISA, and Excel for structural analysis.
• Strong communication skills with clients and project teams.
• Ability to work on-site in West Sacramento and travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis, design, and documentation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Direct, review, and mentor design engineers.
• Guide projects through DSA and HCAI review from submittal to approval.
• Serve as primary contact for architects, contractors, and school districts.
• Collaborate with principals on proposals, fees, schedules, and staffing.
• Oversee construction administration, including shop drawing review, RFI responses, and site observations.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to uphold safety and design excellence.
