Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace company, seeks a senior structural engineering leader in the United States. The role focuses on managing a team, developing technical plans, and providing guidance across product development, engineering changes, and investigations.

You will review analyses, collaborate with discipline managers, and mentor staff while ensuring quality and compliance in line with AS9100/CORE initiatives. The role requires strong English communication and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 8 years of engineering experience or an Advanced Degree with 5 years of engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of structural engineers, including resource allocation, task assignment, and performance oversight and performance planning reviews.
• Develop technical plans and manpower strategies aligned with program requirements, priorities, and milestones.
• Provide structural guidance for product development, improvements, engineering changes, production issues, and investigations.
• Review and approve structural analyses and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with structures discipline managers to maintain alignment and support continuous improvement and AS9100/CORE initiatives.
• Lead employee development through coaching, technical skill building, individual development plans, and policy adherence.
• English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
• Travel is up to 10%.
