Job summary

Carollo Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer with 6–12 years of experience to lead the structural design of water and wastewater facilities. You will plan scope, schedule and budgets, review designs for quality, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust construction documents.

You will be responsible for cost estimates, on-site investigations, and maintaining design standards across concrete, steel and masonry systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis.
• 6-12 years of experience, preferably in the design of water and wastewater treatment structures.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer.
• Expert in building codes and code-referenced standards for design of water/industrial structures in concrete, steel, and reinforced masonry.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Knowledge of construction documents and detailing in construction.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors and manages structural engineering scope, schedule and budget for project completion.
• Performs quality reviews of structural designs and resolves issues.
• Prepares estimates for cost and schedule of structural services.
• Produces contract documents for construction of structures.
• Conducts on-site investigations of existing structures and reports.
