Job summary

Carollo Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer (Industrial) to support its Private Sector Group and lead structural design for water facilities in Phoenix, AZ. You will manage scope, schedule, and budgets, review designs, and mentor junior staff.

Required is a PE license, a relevant Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), 6–12 years in water/wastewater structural design, and proficiency with Civil/Structural software. Travel and site visits may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with emphasis on structures.
• 6-12 years of experience in design of water and wastewater structures.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Expertise in applying building codes and standards for water/industrial structures in concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Strong ability to coordinate work within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors and manages structural engineering scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
• Performs quality reviews of structural designs and resolves issues.
• Prepares cost and schedule estimates for structural engineering services.
• Produces contract documents for construction of structures.
• Conducts site investigations and prepares reports.
