Job summary

Sheladia Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineering Lead to direct assessments, rehabilitation, and design for diplomatic facilities worldwide, with emphasis on conventional, seismic, blast-resistant, and protective structural systems.

You will lead complex analyses, develop repair strategies, and coordinate multidisciplinary reviews. The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and capability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience.
• Active PE license.
• Experience with structural assessment, analysis, rehabilitation, and existing-building investigations.
• Experience with blast-resistant design, seismic evaluation, or protective design.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural assessments, investigations, rehab, and modernization programs.
• Evaluate structures for seismic vulnerability, blast effects, and serviceability.
• Develop repair, strengthening, stabilization, and lifecycle improvement recommendations.
• Support renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and security improvements including blast mitigation.
• Prepare and review calculations, models, drawings, specifications, and cost inputs.
• Mentor structural staff and support proposals and client presentations.
