Job summary

Leidos in Reston, Virginia seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to support a critical national security mission focused on hardened, underground, and protective facilities. You will apply advanced engineering analysis to complex problems, integrating intelligence and geospatial data to produce detailed facility assessments for senior decision-makers.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural background with 8+ years of experience or 6+ years with a master's, and must possess an active TS/SCI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's, or 6+ years with a Master's.
Demonstrated expertise in applying advanced engineering principles across complex programs.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced structural engineering analysis, modeling, and research of buildings and underground facilities.
Evaluate blast resistance, damage tolerance, and overall structural capacity.
Integrate intelligence, geotechnical data, and layouts to characterize facility missions and vulnerabilities.
Develop comprehensive facility assessments with 3D models and configurations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams.
