Job summary

BURGER UNION LTD in Wisconsin is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of new buildings and upgrades within multi-discipline teams. You will guide drawings, reports, and coordination across engineering disciplines to deliver robust, compliant structures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in structural engineering, strong knowledge of steel, concrete and timber design, and familiarity with IBC/ASCE 7/ACI/AISC. PE licensure is preferred within one year of employment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber design; familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC.
Proficiency with Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead project teams to plan and execute structural design across project stages.
Assist in proposals and marketing materials with scope and activities.
Set project scope, budgets, and design approach.
Meet with clients to discuss preliminary planning and concepts.
Ensure on-time delivery within budget with client satisfaction.
Design structural systems for commercial and industrial facilities per codes and client requirements.
Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports; review with disciplines for integration.
Visit sites to collect data and observe construction progress.
