Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group is seeking a Structural Engineering Supervisor – Product Design to lead a technical team responsible for the development, evaluation, standardization, and continuous improvement of PEMB structural products across our metal building business.

You will coach and develop teammates, guide design decisions, influence product strategy, and collaborate with multiple divisions to improve products, tools, and standards used daily by engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of PEMB experience with in-depth PEMB structural systems knowledge.
• Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and AISC standards.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD, file management, and MS Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Eng or equivalent PEMB experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Product Design technical team to deliver PEMB products.
• Apply structural engineering expertise to PEMB systems, connections, and codes.
• Drive product and engineering improvements based on customer value and manufacturability.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and other divisions to standardize practices.
