Job summary

RINA North America seeks a Structural Engineer for our Houston, TX office (also Boston, MA and Chicago area). You will design and evaluate structures and foundations for oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical, and heavy industrial facilities, collaborating with process, piping, mechanical, civil, and electrical teams.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, code compliance, and timely delivery. You will mentor junior engineers, review drawings, and support construction through site visits, RFI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering; PE license required.
• Minimum 6 years of structural engineering experience on oil/gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial projects.
• PE license required; SE license preferred; licenses in other states a plus.
• Experience with structural design/analysis and budgeting/scheduling for deliverables.
• Proficiency in design codes and software listed above.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute advanced structural tasks for steel and concrete structures and foundations.
• Develop deliverables such as calculations, specs, and drawings; review vendor data and model clashes.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary tasks.
• Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across projects; support client interactions.
• Support site inspections and construction phase engineering; address field issues and RFI responses.
