Job summary

AutoStore™ is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the development and validation of structural systems for high-volume robotic products from concept to production. You will own structure design, load paths, and verification activities, balancing strength, weight, manufacturability, and reliability for a global deployment.

The role requires 9+ years in structural/mechanical engineering, proficiency with ANSYS, and experience correlating analytical models with test data.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in structural/mechanical engineering with a strong analysis focus.
• Experience taking products from concept to production.
• Proficient with finite element analysis tools (Ansys Mechanical/Workbench).
• Experience with static, dynamic, vibration, fatigue, modal, and impact analyses.
• Knowledge of material behavior for aluminum extrusions, steel, welds, bolts, castings.
• Experience validating analytical/FEA models against test data.
• Leadership in technical decision-making and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, analysis, validation from concept to production release.
• Own structural architecture, load path, trade-offs.
• Perform structural calculations and simulations (static, dynamic, fatigue, etc.).
• Develop and validate FE models and correlate with tests.
• Lead root-cause investigations of failures and reliability concerns.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, manufacturing, QA, and systems teams.
• Define and execute validation testing including static load, fatigue, vibration, modal, impact, life-cycle testing.
• Support product certification and compliance with standards.
