Job summary

Champion Home Builders in Athens, TX seeks a licensed Structural Engineer who can lead a team of CAD drafters and designers, review drawings and calculations, and seal engineering documents for residential manufactured home projects.

You will mentor staff, establish standards, coordinate with Sales, Production, Quality, and Operations, and oversee multiple projects from concept to production while ensuring code compliance and project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• US PE license and ability to stamp/seal drawings.
• Minimum 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience leading drafting/design teams and coordinating with cross-functional groups.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage CAD drafters and designers.
• Review drawings, calculations, and documents for accuracy and code compliance.
• Establish drafting standards and best practices.
