Job summary

Amentum's Advanced Solutions Group seeks a structural engineer to lead multi-discipline teams on complex facilities projects. You will deliver complete designs from concept to construction, ensuring satisfaction within scope, budget, and schedule.

Required are 5+ years in structural design, proficiency in STAAD/ANSYS, and strong leadership with a track record of meeting deadlines. The role may involve site work and collaboration with clients across federal and commercial projects.

Qualifications

BS or MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5+ years of experience in design and analysis of structural systems.
Proficient in finite element modeling (STAAD/ANSYS).
Proficient in building codes (IBC/AISC/ACI/ASCE).
Demonstrated leadership ability to lead a small team.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage other structural engineers and drafters through all phases of project planning, execution, and construction.
Provide complete design solutions from concept to final design and construction.
Apply design loading to structures using applicable codes.
Design and analyze structures using hand methods and finite element analysis (STAAD/ANSYS).
Develop engineering calculation packages including static, dynamic, blast, vibration, and thermal stresses.
