Job summary

MP Engineers (MP) is a multidisciplinary firm hiring for NY/NJ offices to support transportation bridge and facilities projects. The Structural Engineering Discipline Lead will guide design teams, develop calculations, plans, specifications, and reports while ensuring quality and adherence to schedules and budgets.

The role requires a PE license (NY preferred) and 8–10 years of progressive experience in structural design, with strong leadership and mentoring skills to support junior engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license required; NYS PE preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in structural design.
• Proven experience leading structural engineering tasks and coordinating project teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Structural Engineering Discipline Lead for assigned projects.
• Lead structural design efforts, including calculations, plans, specs, and reports.
• Prepare and oversee plan preparation and specification development for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead and coordinate structural engineering staff and project teams.
• Ensure assignments meet goals, schedules and budget.
