Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a contract Structural Engineer III to work in Plano, TX. You will design, evaluate, and certify advanced aerospace and defense structures, including metallic and composite systems, across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 6+ years of structural engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering or a related role.
• Thorough understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Experience with static analyses and engineering simulation using FEA tools.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and analysis of advanced metallic and composite structures.
• Perform detailed structural analysis and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural designs into overall systems.
• Oversee the development and execution of structural test plans.
