Job summary

Kuok Group Singapore is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to independently develop structural designs that comply with class and technical specs within schedule. The role leads project design activities and coordinates with external designers, Owners, and Classification Society.

Applicants should have at least 8 years in marine/offshore structure design, familiarity with AutoCAD, AVEVA, Cadmatic or similar, and FE software; a background in FE analysis is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in marine/offshore structure newbuilding engineering design.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, AVEVA, Cadmatic or similar, FE software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design and deliver drawings and documents per project plan.
• Review external designer specs, GA drawings, and lists for detail design.
• Coordinate with Owner and Classification Society for design compliance and approval.
• Perform FE analysis using FEMAP or similar software is an advantage.
• Review team drawings before submission and ensure accuracy.
• Perform rule-based structural calculations and check 3rd party FE analyses.
• Coordinate with detail/production designers and verify outputs.
• Communicate site production needs and trouble-shoot on-site if required.
