Details:

A Lead Structural Design Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in St. Louis, Missouri. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, and at least 15+ years of relevant experience.

Job Duties:
* Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers performing structural design engineering
* Colloborate with the OEM customer to define scope of work and establish a structural design approach
* Create and review structural design of others
* Maintain strong communication and positive interactions with internal project team and customer
* Create and manage technical engineering documentation including trade studies, technical evaluations, and logistics support.

Required:
* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
* Fifteen or more years of strong experience performing structural design of primary and secondary airframe structure
* Experience with Sheet Metal, Machining, and Composites Design
* Extensive experience working in Model-Based Definition (MBD) CAD environment (preferably Siemens NX)
* Robust background operating with industry-standard specifications, tools, and procedures (e.g. ASME-Y14.5M, ASME-Y14.41)
* Comprehensive experience working with other disciplines such as structural/thermal analysis, production, avionics, systems engineering, etc.
* Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
* Mentoring or leadership experience
* Experience with Boeing design tools and Boeing Design Manuals
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills, with the ability to develop clear technical presentations and recommendations for customers and suppliers
* Must have excellent time management skills
* Must have excellent computer skills
* Must be U.S. citizen
* Travel occasionally as required

Preferred:
* Experience supporting structural design of ducts
* Experience using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, VisMockup
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation
* Direct experience working on or with Boeing products

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $124,800 to $145,600 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
