Job summary

MFS Engineers & Surveyors in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a skilled CAD Operator/Drafter to lead structural drafting projects under the Structural Project Manager. You will develop final construction drawings, perform QA/QC, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with architects and other engineers.

The position requires an associate degree or technical certification, 6+ years of CAD drafting, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; NJ/NY P.E. license preferred but not stated.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting/Design Technology.
• Minimum 6 years of professional CAD drafting experience.
• Experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit required.
• Strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design development drawings and final construction documents.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Coordinate drawing content with project team members (architect, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Perform QA/QC of CAD review and mentor staff.
