Job summary

MFS Engineers & Surveyors, headquartered in South Plainfield, NJ, seeks a Structural Engineer to develop designs from concept to final construction documents and to perform inspections during construction. The role involves working with CAD operators and senior engineers on buildings, bridges, and site structures.

The candidate will contribute to structural analyses, site investigations, and project proposals, coordinating with project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• 3+ years of professional structural engineering design experience.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design.
• Knowledge of NYC Building Code and IBC.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural assessments and investigations.
• Develop structural design reports.
• Prepare design development drawings and final construction documents.
• Create structural analysis models and perform designs.
• Assist with proposal preparation.
• Oversee and train entry level staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
