Grex Defense, Inc. is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the structural development of clean-sheet autonomous aircraft from first-principles sizing and FEA through detailed CAD, manufacturing, and test.

This hands-on leadership role blends sizing, analysis, and production-ready drawings with establishing engineering standards, workflows, and supplier interfaces in a fast-moving startup. You will steer global FEMAP/NX analyses, develop load paths and margins, and mentor a growing

Qualifications

Proven experience leading structural engineering on aerospace weight-critical structures.
Demonstrated ability to deliver clean-sheet programs from concept to test.
Expert sizing using first-principles and empirical methods before resorting to FEA.
Strong proficiency with FEMAP and NX for complex FEM and CAD workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead structural development of clean-sheet autonomous aircraft from sizing to test.
Establish engineering standards, workflows, and best practices for structural analysis and drawings.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and testing teams to resolve hardware issues.
Recruit, mentor, and lead a small, fast-moving engineering team.
