Lead Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Commodity Manager - Metals)

This role involves driving procurement of metals, metal salts, derivatives, and specialty chemicals, managing global supply strategies, and ensuring cost efficiency and supply continuity. The position reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and offers a hybrid work schedule from Charlotte NC, Rosemont IL, or Des Plaines IL.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute strategic plans for commodities
• Manage supplier relationships and performance
• Negotiate contracts and optimize supply chain processes
• Support and shape metal hedging strategies to mitigate market risks

Minimum Requirements:

• 6+ years in contract management and negotiations
• At least 3 years in commodity management
• Experience in project and contract management
• Certifications in project, supply chain, or procurement management
• Strong analytical and financial skills, proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Supply Chain
• Experience in chemical sourcing, SAP, e-sourcing, Six Sigma, and Lean tools
• Master's degree and extensive procurement experience are valued
